The Mix
@ Helston Old Chapel

Our acoustic, folk, blues and beyond club

"There is a massive resurgence of acoustic singer-songwriters and musicians within the loosely termed ‘folk music’ scene and my aim with The Mix is to bring as many of them as possible to Helston!

The Mix is a music club with a resident band which will support a monthly guest feature. The date will be different each month which will give us the flexibility to attract exciting known and up-and-coming artists.

All events from The Mix will be shared through Trevow Helston's social channels and mailing list when they go live. If you want to get involved as a musician please do get in touch. Come along and share the music!”

True Foxes

Helston Old Chapel

7.30pm 1st August 2024

A pinch of spice is added to The Mix with local celtic group Ropey Folk.

Mix together Amie’s soulful vocals and beautiful song writing with Chloë's ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines, add a touch of sisterly banter which gives an emotional dimension to their performances and you have the reason why the Cornish duo, True Foxes are quickly gaining popularity in the South West and beyond.

If you're a fan of First Aid Kit and The Secret Sisters but with a touch of British influence, you'll definitely enjoy True Foxes.

Referred to as the "Hardest working female duo in the South West" by BBC Introducing, the self-managed True Foxes performed an impressive 140 shows in 2022 and more than doubled that in 2023 with 250 shows.

2024 will be a busy year for the girls after releasing their highly anticipated debut album 'Howl' in March, and completing a sold-out headline UK Tour.
